Rich in History, Ready for the Future
The history of X-Caliber began three decades ago with the establishment of The Phares Company. Owner Nancy Phares was a single mom from Kentucky who had become highly experienced in HUD lending. She and her son, Ford, along with his wife, Sharon, grew the company until Chris and Sharon Callahan acquired the HUD lender and mortgage servicer in 2017, began the company with a team of five, and renamed it X-Caliber.
Since the acquisition, X-Caliber has produced billions in loan transactions while adding several business lines, and now the X-Caliber brand encompasses X-Caliber LLC, the FHA lender and servicer; X-Caliber Funding LLC, a bridge to HUD platform; CastleGreen Finance, focused on Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy (C-PACE) finance; X-Caliber Rural Capital, a USDA-licensed lender; and X-Caliber Investment Management, a specialist investment firm, and X-Caliber Advisors, a commercial real estate advising firm.
Today, X-Caliber and its affiliates have team members located in 11 states across the country.
