Shaun Stehr is the Vice President, USDA and Bank Relationships at X-Caliber Rural Capital. He sources, structures, underwrites, and closes USDA OneRD guaranteed loans nationwide across Business and Industry, Rural Energy for America Program, and Timber Production Expansion Program transactions. He guides lenders and borrowers from intake to closing and aligns each deal with USDA Rural Development standards.
Mr. Stehr brings 14 years at USDA Rural Development and 11 years in community banking. At USDA, he served as OneRD Project Manager and Special Projects Coordinator, Business Loan and Grant Analyst Team Lead, and National Reviewer. He acted as the primary contact for lenders nationwide, led the TPEP Guaranteed Loan Program, developed training at state and national levels, and coordinated regulation updates and procedural notices.
Mr. Stehr reviewed more than $2.5 billion in guaranteed loan requests and $400 million in energy project guarantees. He also directed statewide Community Facilities operations for a $500 million direct loan and grant portfolio and led teams across marketing, underwriting, servicing, and workouts.
Mr. Stehr earned a Bachelor’s in Accounting from Kaplan University.
