Debbie Campbell has more than three decades of experience in affordable housing finance and community development. In her role as Managing Director, Origination, she is responsible for providing financing solutions for both affordable and market-rate multifamily, seniors housing & healthcare, the nation’s rural communities and more. From bridge, to FHA, to Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy (C-PACE), to USDA loans, Ms. Campbell has deep expertise in all the firm’s and their affiliates lending products to help customize the right solutions for borrowers and property owners.
Prior to joining X-Caliber, Ms. Campbell was a Co-Founder and Senior Vice President of Community Housing Capital (CHC), a top national Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI) fund, where she helped spearhead the company’s loan platforms to finance the development and preservation of affordable housing in urban, suburban, rural, and native communities. Before joining CHC, she founded Salisbury Neighborhood Housing, which became one of the most successful and innovative NeighborWorks organizations of its size in the United States.
Ms. Campbell is a member of the Mortgage Bankers Association’s Convergence, which partners with lenders and other industry participants to bring new solutions to the rental and housing affordability challenges. She is also a board member for Next Steps Network, a national nonprofit organization created to make home ownerships a possibility for all through the development of factory-built homes. Ms. Campbell has been a recipient of Maryland’s Innovators of the Year recognition and was named one of Maryland’s Top 100 Women for her accomplishments in affordable housing. She attended Salisbury University and is a graduate of Harvard Kennedy School’s Achieving Excellence in Community Development executive education program.
