In his role as Vice President, Underwriting & Energy Compliance, Martin Nunnally manages underwriting and energy compliance for Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy (C-PACE) transactions. He is responsible for the financial underwriting of the underlying commercial real estate assets and the management of energy report reviews. In addition, he oversees the coordination with third-party energy auditors and the review of other related deal due diligence. He is also responsible for development budget analysis and project energy projection tracking.
Mr. Nunnally has over 15 years of experience in commercial real estate finance with a diverse background in equity, debt, CMBS, development, and sustainable real estate transaction analysis.
Prior to joining CastleGreen, Mr. Nunnally was a Senior Underwriter and Director at Counterpointe Sustainable Real Estate where he led initial screening and underwriting of C-PACE transactions for new construction, adaptive reuse, and heavy renovation projects. Other responsibilities included transaction risk management, valuations, pricing, deal structuring, strategic planning, and coordination with the sales and closing team. Prior to that, he held roles as a bridge loan underwriter, as an associate director at Fitch Ratings, and as an investment analyst at Prudential Financial.
Mr. Nunnally is a LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP Homes) and has earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Morehouse College.
