Chris Callahan is the President and Chief Executive Officer of X-Caliber Holdings. He is also the President and CEO of X-Caliber and X-Caliber Funding, the Co-Founder of X-Caliber Rural Lending, and Co-Managing Partner of CastleGreen Finance.
Mr. Callahan has created a multidisciplinary, real estate finance and investment company with a unique business strategy that supports a wide scope of short-and long-term financing needs across many commercial real estate property types. Under his leadership, X-Caliber continues to broaden its product offerings and companies, enhancing the firm’s ability to deliver on its commitment to improving the quality of lives in the communities in which they lend.
Mr. Callahan acquired the FHA lending and servicing platform that became X-Caliber in 2017, with a focus on providing capital solutions as a Multifamily Accelerated Processing (MAP) lender and GNMA-approved MBS issuer. Since then, he has swiftly and strategically integrated numerous lending and investing verticals, including X-Caliber Funding LLC, a bridge lending platform, CastleGreen Finance, a Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy (C-PACE) financing arm, and X-Caliber Rural Capital, a USDA-licensed lender.
Mr. Callahan also created X-Caliber Investment Management (XCIM), a specialist investment firm, which manages and invests capital for institutional clients. XCIM utilizes the sourcing and underwriting expertise of the broader X-Caliber lending platforms to invest in impact investments that make a positive difference in our nation’s communities.
Mr. Callahan’s deep experience in the commercial and residential real estate industry has paved the way for this present-day national business. Before X-Caliber Holdings, he served as Managing Director and Head of Non-Agency and Agency CMBS and CLO trading at Credit Suisse. Prior to that, he was a Managing Director at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he was Co-Head of the Agency and Non-Agency CMBS trading businesses and was a Vice President and Head of the Agency/Non-Agency CMBS trading group at Nomura Securities.
Mr. Callahan graduated from Binghamton University in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Management and Finance.
