Daniel Teplin is Chief Legal Counsel for X-Caliber. In his role, he leads the companies’ legal, and enterprise risk management and oversees the transaction management for all the lending platforms and affiliate companies. Mr. Teplin has diverse experience representing hedge funds, REITs, banks, and mortgage companies in all aspects of their business, including real estate and asset-based lending, CMBS and RMBS transactions, syndicated and mezzanine financing facilities, loan servicing, loan acquisitions, loan sales and mergers, and acquisitions. Prior to joining X-Caliber, Mr. Teplin worked at Waterfall Asset Management, LLC, Reed Smith LLP, and Sheppard Mullin Richter and Hampton LLP.
Mr. Teplin earned a Juris Doctor of Law from St. John’s University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Binghamton University.
