Mike Hammond is an Executive Managing Director responsible for providing clients with financing solutions across all of X-Caliber’s platforms and affiliate companies. Mike has more than 20 years of experience in real estate finance and his deep knowledge of capital markets helps him provide clients with expert guidance and optimal solutions for their varied financing needs.
From Bridge, to FHA, to Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy (C-PACE), to USDA lending, Mike has deep experience in all loan products and commercial real estate asset types, including, but not limited to multifamily, seniors and healthcare, hospitality, industrial and rural infrastructure.
Prior to joining X-Caliber, Mike was a senior member of the loan origination team at Berkeley Point Capital. During his tenure at the firm, he closed a variety of different transactions across multifamily, seniors housing and other commercial property types through the company’s FHA, Fannie Mae, and CMBS lending platforms. He was also instrumental in creating synergies between the Agency and CMBS Lending Divisions to increase the firm’s bottom line.
Prior to that, Mike was an Executive Director in Oppenheimer’s real estate group. As one of the first employees within this division, he helped grow the platform to become one of the largest FHA multifamily and healthcare lenders in the country. He was responsible for loan origination, loan pricing and distribution, client management, and secondary trading of FHA, Ginnie Mae, and Agency CMBS securities. In addition to his production and capital markets duties, Mike led the creation of the firm’s bridge lending platform.
