R.J. Guttroff serves as the Executive Managing Director at X-Caliber where he is responsible for delivering financing solutions to clients across all the firm’s platforms and affiliated companies.
Mr. Guttroff has more than 20 years of experience in commercial real estate financing spanning across the disciplines of origination, underwriting, securitization, distressed debt and investment banking and has originated more than $5 billion in loan volume.
Mr. Guttroff has extensive knowledge in various loan products and commercial real estate asset categories, including, but not limited to multifamily, seniors and healthcare, hospitality, industrial, and rural infrastructure.
Prior to joining X-Caliber, Mr. Guttroff was Managing Director at Lument, where he successfully originated transactions across multifamily, seniors housing, and other commercial property types, utilizing the company’s agency and proprietary lending platforms.
Before that, he served as Director at Barclays Capital where he led a national team of originators and underwriters. Earlier in his career, he worked in various capacities at several other global and well-established financial and real estate institutions, including Deutsche Bank Securities, Greystone, Nomura Securities, and UBS Warburg.
Mr. Guttroff is a graduate of the University of Vermont and the New York University Real Estate program. He also earned his Series 63 and 79 licenses.
